Join us for a 3-day collaborative workshop led by Makan, culminating in a public performance in Piazza Ciro Principessa (Villa Certosa) on May 17, during the Day for Ciro Principessa.
This project is about resistance, storytelling, and performance art as tools for political reflection. We’ll begin by exploring repression in Syrian prisons, then expand to broader struggles, including the story of Ciro Principessa.
We’ll move, discuss, create, and perform — together.
🧠 WHO SHOULD APPLY?
Artists, performers, activists, and anyone:
• Using their body as resistance
• Questioning systems of control
• Open to collaboration & collective creation
• Interested in performative storytelling
✨WORKSHOP PROGRAM:
May 15: Introduction, documentary screening Living in a Box, movement & discussion
May 16: Creation, rehearsal, performative development
May 17: Final public performance at Villa Certosa (approx. 14:00–16:00)
🍽️ Each day starts with lunch at 13:30 – let’s eat and create together.
