Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibnitz giunse a questa conclusione intorno al 1700, quando trovò conferma delle sue idee negli esagrammi del Libro dei Mutamenti, scritto in Cina sei secoli e mezzo prima.
Nel 1854, George Boole pubblicò i fondamenti dell’Algebra Booleana (secondo cui 0 è falso e 1 è vero).
Nel 1949 la logica booleana fu adottata da Claude Shannon per spiegare il funzionamento dei circuiti elettrici, poi elettronici e informatici.
Nel 1950 Alan Turing individuò un principio per determinare se una macchina è in grado di mostrare un comportamento “intelligente”. Egli ipotizzò che entro il 2000 ciò sarebbe avvenuto.
Oggi ChatGPT, il software di intelligenza artificiale sviluppato da OpenAI, utilizza reti neurali per riconoscere un testo scritto ed è in grado di apprendere senza la supervisione umana.
E di superare il test nazionale di ammissione alla Facoltà di Medicina e Odontoiatria.
